I asked ChatGPT to write this video. It did it in nine seconds, and it was better than my draft. So I deleted it. Then I opened it again ten minutes later. In 2025 a team at the MIT Media Lab put EEG caps on 54 people writing essays. The group using ChatGPT showed the weakest connections between brain regions. Then the researchers asked everyone to quote a single sentence from the essay they had just handed in. 83% of the ChatGPT group could not. This video is about what that trade actually costs, and what to do about it. The fix turns out to be embarrassingly simple. It is a signal, not a verdict, which is why the video says so out loud at 3:35. Everything here was drawn badly on purpose.
