The Kimber 2K11 Pro Comp 9mm is finally here. In this first impressions video, I take a detailed look at Kimber's compensated double-stack 1911-style pistol to see whether the build quality, trigger, integrated compensator, and overall package live up to the hype. This is my first look at the all-black Kimber 2K11 Pro Comp, before putting serious rounds through it. I wanted to document exactly what stood out right out of the box—the good, the things I'm curious about, and the details I'll be paying close attention to during the upcoming range and long-term testing. 🔥 WHAT I COVER IN THIS VIDEO • Kimber 2K11 Pro Comp unboxing and first impressions • Included range bag and accessories • Overall build quality, slide fit, and tolerances • Ambidextrous safeties and grip safety • Trigger take-up, break, and short reset • Carbon-fiber-infused grip module and ergonomics • TAG Precision optics mounting system • Integrated compensator and expansion chamber design • Check-Mate 19-round magazines • Weight, balance, and overall feel • My planned optic, weapon light, and holster setup • Whether the Kimber 2K11 Pro Comp appears to justify its premium price • What's coming in the first range test and 1,000-round review One of the biggest reasons I wanted to get my hands on the 2K11 Pro Comp is the integrated compensator. Rather than adding an aftermarket compensator to the end of the pistol, Kimber incorporates the compensating system into the slide and barrel package. I'm especially interested to see how much of a difference that makes once we get it to the range. The trigger, slide-to-frame fit, grip texture, controls, and overall ergonomics also made some strong first impressions, but this is only the beginning of the review process. Looking good out of the box and performing reliably over hundreds or thousands of rounds are two very different things. That's why this will be a multi-part Kimber 2K11 Pro Comp review. Next, I'll take it to the range for the first shots and start evaluating recoil, accuracy, reliability, return to zero, trigger performance, and how the integrated compensator actually performs under live fire. After that, we'll continue putting rounds through it toward a full 1,000-round long-term review. 🔫 PLANNED 2K11 PRO COMP SETUP • Optic: Trijicon SRO Green Dot • Weapon Light: SureFire X300 • Holster: Tier 1 Concealed MSP • Magazines: Check-Mate 19-round 9mm magazines 💬 QUESTION FOR THE COMMENTS What do you think of the Kimber 2K11 Pro Comp so far?
