Most noticeably, the game removes the shop feature and focuses on meeting certain criteria in the game's new Mission mode to unlock content. Mission mode pits the player against increasingly stronger opponents under specific circumstances and with different methods of winning in order to complete each mission. The new game called Three-Man Squad Mode, is selecting 3 characters to fight 3 opponents. This game was released exclusively in Japan.
