We have a lot of hard rain where I live and this awning has stayed dry inside after some heavy rains. The awning is easy to set up and put away. It can be set up in less than 2 minutes once you understand how to get all the pieces out. The awning itself is a polyester fabric and is great at keeping the sun and heat from coming through. The system also includes a locking adapter kit for THULE and aftermarket roof racks and rails.
