Do Animals Know We're Smarter Than Them?

Do animals know humans are smarter than them? Your dog watches you open a jar like it's magic. But scientists say the real answer is much stranger. In this video, we explore how animals see humans and what they really understand about us. You'll meet Clever Hans, the horse who seemed to do math but was actually reading people. You'll see why dogs turn to humans for help when a puzzle becomes impossible, how dogs beat chimpanzees at following a pointing finger, and how crows remember human faces and even warn other crows. We'll also look at wild elephants that can tell which human voices mean danger, a young chimpanzee who beat university students at a number memory test, a bird that recruits people to find honey, and monkeys in Bali that trade stolen phones for food. Then we'll explain what this animal behavior means for you and your pet, from that guilty dog look to what it really means when your pet looks at you. So, who's really in charge?
