Jab Rooh Halaq Tak Pahunch Jaye, Tauba Qabool Nahi | Dars-e-Hadith Episode 18

When does Allah accept a person's repentance, and when does the door of tauba close? In Dars-e-Hadith Episode 18, we study the hadith of Abdullah ibn Umar (RA), narrated by Imam Tirmidhi, who graded it hasan: Allah accepts the repentance of His servant "ma lam yugharghir" — until the death rattle begins. Is dars mein samjhaya gaya hai ke "gharghara" se kya murad hai: jab rooh halaq tak pahunch jaye, insaan ko maut ka yaqeen ho jaye aur maut ke farishte nazar aane lagen, to us waqt tauba qabool nahi hoti. Hakeem-ul-Ummat Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanvi (RA) ki wazahat ke mutabiq maut ke waqt do halatein hoti hain: Halat-e-Yaas: insaan zindagi se mayoos ho jata hai magar Alam-e-Barzakh ke ahwaal zahir nahi hote — is halat mein tauba qabool hoti hai. Doosri halat: jab Barzakh ke ahwaal munkashif hone lagen aur farishte nazar aayen — phir tauba qabool nahi hoti. Asal paigham: gunah ho jaye to foran istighfar karein, nadamat ke saath Allah ki taraf rujoo karein aur aainda na karne ka azm karein.
