Irish Set Dance • Belfast TradFest + Fleadh 2026

Enjoy some highlights from our first ‘Belfast experience’ at the legendary Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann and TradFest 2026. Get a taste of this fascinating city in Northern Ireland through a small selection from our footage. Why were we there? Because of Irish set dancing. But we came back full of deeply memorable other experiences. I organised the trip to Belfast for members of our set dance group in Neumarkt and for a few other set dance friends, without really knowing much about the two events. I know all the other summer schools in Miltown, Tubbercurry, Drumshanbo and also Keadue. But I was all the more surprised by the wide variety of activities on offer during the Summer School and the Fleadh week - embedded in a lovely environment. Everything was superbly organised, with a peaceful, lively atmosphere, a brilliant vibe and incredibly friendly and hospitable people everywhere.
