ORIGAMI PIXELATED OCTAHEDRON (Jo Nakashima)

How to make an origami Pixelated Octahedron. Designed by Jo Nakashima (05/2020) Support my channel!   / jonakashima   In this tutorial you'll learn how to make an origami Pixelated Octahedron step by step. This is a modular origami and each cube is made from a single square sheet of paper, all connected without glue. With few units you probably won't think it looks like an octahedron - that is because it's like a very low resolution pixel art of an octahedron! But it can be escalated to add more pixels: each level will require more and more cubes and there is no theoretical upper limit! (see below how to find the number of sheets you need for each level) #Origami #Pixelated #Octahedron ► Watch this video to fold the 5x5 grid quickly on the other sheets:    • HELP - Using a 5x5 grid to make more 5x5 g...   ► And also this alternative method to fold 5ths:    • How to divide the paper into N equal parts...   ► DIFFICULTY LEVEL: simple ► MY PAPER: 12cm x 12cm origami paper each cube Number of sheets necessary: ● Level 1: 1 ● Level 2: 6 ● Level 3: 19 ● Level 4: 44 ● Level 5: 85 ● Level n: (2n³+n)/3 ► INDEX: 0:00 Intro 0:10 The Origami Pixelated Octahedron 0:38 Basic Cube unit 8:49 - Edge connection 11:17 Hide the short flaps 12:21 Hide the long flaps 13:46 Connect more cubes 15:53 Finished model ► BUY ORIGAMI PAPER AND BOOKS: https://www.origami-shop.com/index.ph... ★ Website: https://jonakashima.com.br ★ Facebook:   / joorigami   ★ Instagram:   / jonakashima   ======================================== Commercial use is not allowed without prior written permission from the author.
