In Today's Episode: In 1975, the Church of Scientology wrote down a plan to take over an entire American city and fifty years later, Clearwater, Florida is handing over the keys. We trace the whole operation: the fake “church” that bought the hotel, Project Normandy and its 69 targets, the staged hit-and-run built to blackmail a sitting mayor, the infiltration of the IRS and the Justice Department, and the nine convictions that followed. Then, we move to a hidden vault in the New Mexico desert, a secret airstrip, giant circles carved into the ground, and a house kept ready for a dead man’s return. Who really owns downtown Clearwater, who’s on the ballot November 3rd, and what are the symbols in the desert actually for?
