Permanent council flat tour. From homeless to housed

Welcome to the tour of our permanent council flat. I’m a single parent of two daughters who became homeless in Nov 2017 when our private landlord decided to sell. We were placed in a one room hostel were we had to shared bathroom facilities with our families. The room was the size of a cupboard, the build in disarray and we lost all our furniture as I could not afford to store it anywhere. In June 2019 we had some relief as we were placed in a one bedroom flat as temporary accommodation. Life returned to normal as we had our own space again. I slept in the living room and my daughters had a bedroom again. After a long wait and endless bidding we came first for a two bedroom permanent council flat. I finally have a bedroom and no more moving house. Thank you to everyone for the support during our journey from homeless to housed.
