A Quiet September Day at Pinery Provincial Park | Ontario Nature Escape

Spend a quiet September day at Pinery Provincial Park in Ontario, exploring peaceful hiking trails, the Ausable River and the beaches and dunes of Lake Huron. This relaxing nature escape begins on the trails of Pinery Provincial Park, where September still feels surprisingly green. We explore Heritage Trail, Riverside Trail and Hickory Trail, slowing down along the way for the sights and natural sounds of the forest. Later, we make our way toward Lake Huron and the Pinery's beaches and dunes. Chloe joins us for part of the day, exploring the trails and shoreline as summer begins its transition toward fall in Ontario. This September visit is also the beginning of a longer project. I'll be returning to Pinery Provincial Park throughout the year to revisit familiar places and see how the landscape changes through fall, winter, spring and into next summer.
