Embedding Health Equity in Sexual and Reproductive Health Clinical Practice Guidelines

Dr Natasha Davidson Research Fellow/Clinician, Global and Women’s Health Research focus: Advancing health equity through the evaluation and development of clinical practice guidelines with a focus on ensuring culturally responsive, evidence-informed recommendations that address the needs of diverse and underserved populations. Presentation title: Embedding Health Equity in Sexual and Reproductive Health Clinical Practice Guidelines: From Evidence to Clinical Practice This current project focuses on mapping the extent and nature of equity considerations across sexual and reproductive health clinical practice guidelines, with a particular focus on how the needs of culturally and linguistically diverse populations are recognised and translated into actionable recommendations. The presentation will outline the rationale and approach to this work, share emerging findings, and consider opportunities to strengthen the integration of equity into guideline development and implementation. The talk would also highlight opportunities for co-design, implementation science and collaboration to improve the translation of evidence into more equitable health policy and clinical practice.
