Oregon hospitals are at the breaking point, overwhelmed with COVID patients. KGW reporters Pat Dooris and Christine Pitawanich were granted rare access inside intensive care units at OHSU Hospital in Portland and St. Charles Medical Center in Bend to speak with doctors and nurses on the front lines of the fight against COVID. Medical professionals are tired and frustrated. They're also angry that almost all of their sickest patients are unvaccinated, showing how this is a preventable tragedy.
