Shelter Dog Saved 1 Hour Before Euthanasia – Olive's Story

This shelter dog was one hour away from being euthanized. Then a rescue changed everything. This is Olive's story: from the shelter to her forever family, and her fight against bone cancer. Olive was a rescue dog nobody wanted. On the day she was scheduled to be euthanized, a family pulled her out of the shelter, and she ran straight into their arms. Weeks later, a limp turned out to be osteosarcoma (bone cancer). Now she is learning to live on one front leg and taking part in an immunotherapy vaccine clinical trial at Yale, which her family says has shown promising results for dogs with osteosarcoma.
