Having started his own solo project during Covid lockdown (initially as Lord Kevin and His Slide Bass), Rutmanis later collaborated with drummer/artist Gina Skwoz and multi-instrumentalist Trevor Dunn (of Mr Bungle and too many other projects to mention). The latest record is the first recording to feature all three of them together and they're altogether in this interview too with me. And oh what a pleasure to be in their company. Full of insights, full of fun, surreal and absurd. Exactly what I would hope for from these great, creative individuals.
