Just one month after a major counterfeit goods raid at Ben Thanh Market in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, I visited nearby Saigon Square to see what was really happening inside one of the city's most talked-about shopping markets.
Saigon Square is known for its massive selection of replica luxury goods, including designer handbags, watches, sneakers, clothing, and accessories. But after authorities cracked down on counterfeit products at Ben Thanh Market, I wanted to find out whether anything had actually changed.
In this video, I explore Saigon Square, negotiate with local vendors, examine replica luxury watches and designer-inspired handbags, and shop for clothing. Things get especially interesting when one seller notices my camera and tells me that selling counterfeit products is illegal, despite the merchandise being openly displayed throughout the shop.
From replica watch shopping to bargaining for clothes and exploring Vietnam's underground counterfeit market scene, this is an unfiltered look at what tourists can find inside Saigon Square in 2026.
Are Vietnam's counterfeit market crackdowns actually changing anything, or is business continuing as usual?
Watch until the end and let me know what you think in the comments!
