2024 Advocate Health Gives: Ellie Lives Life to the Fullest

Shortly after her first birthday, Ellie Sisk experienced a seizure and was airlifted to Atrium Health Levine Children's Hospital. Ellie was diagnosed with epilepsy. She and her family prepared to manage life with a chronic disease, but at age four, Ellie's doctors recommended brain surgery – a temporal lobectomy – removing part of the brain causing the seizures. Ellie's team of pediatric neurologists and surgeons at Atrium Health Levine Children's have been by her side ever since, cheering her on as she wins gymnastics competitions, wakeboards, and lives an active, seizure-free life.
