CHERKASSKY plays 'Polka de W.R.' by RACHMANINOFF.

This Polka, which was a melody loved by Rachmaninoff's father, (hence the initials W.R.). was a favourite encore of both Cherkassky and Horowitz. Both pianists enjoyed performing it with a delightfully teasing caprice sometimes adding an additional arpeggio at the very end.
