One of the most beautiful pieces ever written — Elgar’s famous “Nimrod” from the Enigma Variations — performed on the magnificent pipe organ of St. Anastasia’s Cathedral in Zadar, Croatia. During my visit to Zadar, I had the opportunity to perform this deeply moving piece in the beautiful Cathedral of St. Anastasia. The wonderful acoustics of the cathedral allow the music to grow from its very quiet beginning to the powerful final climax. Edward Elgar’s Nimrod is one of the most beloved movements from the Enigma Variations.
