I've Never Heard Nene Royal Do THIS Before | Skyfall (Adele) | Grammy Member Reacts

I've never heard Nene do this before. My Nene Royal Skyfall reaction: Adele's Skyfall as a rock version, with the full Ozone Band at their practice livestream. As a Grammy voting member, songwriter and Estill-qualified vocal producer, I've reacted to Nene a lot now, and there are little things she's doing here that I don't normally hear her do. She's obviously listened to Adele: Adele kind of chews the vowel as she goes through a word, and Nene doesn't normally modify vowels that way. I'm not mad about it at all. It's fascinating to hear. Then she makes Skyfall her own. Where Adele does that little fall-off from the big note, Nene holds it on like a rock singer would, and lets it go. That changes the feel of the whole song. She is such a clever musician. Many of you asked for more Nene with her band, so here it is. In this reaction I break down: 🎤 The little things I don't normally hear Nene do, and why I think she picked them up from Adele 🗣️ How Adele chews the vowel, and her London accent coming through in Nene's version 📈 The bigger the jump, the bigger the song, and why the Skyfall chorus is the perfect example 🤘 Why she holds the big note like a rock singer instead of doing Adele's walk-down 🎹 Props to the keyboard player, playing every orchestral part AND singing backing vocals 🎬 Chris Cornell's You Know My Name, and why Nene gives Skyfall that vibe 🎷 The classic Bond outro, and the chord that makes you lean in 🌈 My synesthetic colour report: midnight blue in the quieter bits, then bright bursts of orange Lots of you tell me Nene is actually the oldest in this band. How talented are these boys? They're in time with each other, they take direction from Nene and they're having a great time. As a mum and a woman in the music industry, it warms my heart. Watching Nene and the Ozone Band reminds me why we picked up a guitar or started writing songs in the first place: it was fun. That's why we got into this. 📺 More of Nene on this channel: The Warning, Kerosene    • THIS CAN'T BE TAUGHT! | Nene Royal & The W...   Linkin Park + the AGT win    • SHE DID IT! Nene Royal Wins AGT | Linkin P...   Seven Nation Army    • I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS PERFORMANCE! | Nene R...   Black Hole Sun (Golden Buzzer)    • Nene Royal - Black Hole Sun: Why this Gold...   📈 A chorus that breaks the jump rule: Olivia Rodrigo, You're So Vain    • Genuine Talent, not just a pop singer | Fi...   ═════ CHAPTERS ═════ 0:00 Sawadee ka, more Nene with the Ozone Band 0:39 Nene Royal's rock "Skyfall" begins 2:11 Something I've never heard Nene do: Adele's vowels 4:49 The bigger the jump, the bigger the song 8:11 Why she doesn't do Adele's fall-off 11:42 How talented are these boys?
