FDC and JEEMA to face off in Bugiri

Candidates for Bugiri municipality MP elections kicked off their campaigns on Wednesday following their nominations. Eunice Namatende of the FDC, Asuman Basaliirwa of JEEMA party and John Francis Oketcho campaigned in Bugiri municipality today. They were cleared by Bugiri district’s returning officer Christine Fiona Kunihira at the district headquarters. Basalirwa, accompanied by Kyaddondo East Member of Parliament Robert Sentamu Kyagulanyi (Bobi Wine), held his rally at Hidonkya primary school while the FDC candidate Namatende talked to her people at Bugiri Bus park. She was accompanied by the party’s former President Dr. Kizza Besigye and other officials. The NRM candidate Oketcho John Francis held his rally at Bugiri Taxi park.
