MIDNIGHT IN THE MIRROR WORLD by Fritz Leiber

Originally published in the October 1964 issue of Fantastic Stories of Imagination magazine. Re-published in a collection of the author's stories called Night Monsters, which first appeared as an omnibus with his previous book, The Green Millennium, in 1969. An appearance in another magazine came next, in the Fall 1970 issue of Strange Fantasy. In 1974 the Night Monsters collection was re-released, this time on its own. 1976 gave us its inclusion in another collection, this one called The Mind Spider and Other Stories. In 1978, it appeared in yet another collection: Heroes and Horrors. Translations of the collections included a German one in 1977, French in 1979, Dutch in 1983, Italian in 1991, and Spanish in 2020.
