Pokémon Platinum [Nuzlocke] #01 - Lets face the Legends of the Sinnoh Region!

Greetings, I´m TecManiac, a very friendly mad scientist with no world domination plans whatsoever who likes to play games, especially those where I get to build, strategize and/or destroy things :) Generation 4 is where a lot of people think Pokémon hit peak. And I definitely agree that the DS games are some of the best Pokémon has to offer! That includes Diamond, Pearl and the enhanced version we´re going to play, PLATINUM! The Sinnoh region at it´s best, but also one of the more difficult games to Nuzlocke. Can I defy the myths and legends and survive this challenge as well? It´s time to start the next adventure! Stats at the start of this stream: Badges: 0 Caught Pokemon: 0 Missed encounters: 0 Deaths: 0 (It´s the first stream, duh XD) The basic rules for this challenge: 1. Only the first wild Pokémon encountered in a route or area can be caught. If we fail to catch it (ie. it flees or faints), our opportunity to catch a Pokémon in that area is lost. 2. Any Pokémon that faints must be boxed permanently. It is considered “dead” for the rest of the challenge. If we lose all our Pokémon, the game is over. 3. We must nickname all Pokémon we obtain. Additional rules (optional, might change them later): Duplicate clause: If the first Pokémon we encounter in an area is one we already have, we CAN skip that one and try for another encounter, until we get something new so we have more variety. Set Mode Clause: The battle style is set to "Set". Level Cap: I will try to keep our team level below important (Gym leader) fights. Limited Items: In trainer fights, I´m only allowed to use as many items as the enemy has Pokémon. No X-Items are allowed! Gift/Static Pokémon: Gifted Pokemon or static encounters are free and don´t count as an encounter. Shiny Clause: If we encounter a shiny wild Pokémon, we may just catch it.
