Is It Wrong to Want to Be Rich? What the Bible Really Says

Is it wrong to want to be rich? And what does your ambition reveal about you? Wanting to pay your bills, provide for your family, and build a better future is understandable. But when does the pursuit of prosperity begin to control your choices? In this video, we explore three Gospel accounts: the rich man with the barns, the wealthy man who walked away from Jesus, and Zacchaeus, whose response included generosity and restitution. Through the teachings of Jesus, Psalms, Proverbs, and Paul’s letters, we examine what we expect wealth to give us, what we are willing to sacrifice for it, and how our resources can benefit others. Discover biblical perspectives on ambition, contentment, integrity, God’s provision, and responsible generosity. Becoming richer can increase your resources without increasing your freedom. 📖 Scripture explored: Luke 12:13–21 1 Timothy 6:6–10 Mark 10:17–27 Psalm 62:10 Luke 19:1–10 Ephesians 4:28 1 Timothy 6:17–19 Proverbs 30:7–9 What does pursuing prosperity with faith and integrity look like in your life?
