Bacewicz - Sonata No. 2 (Zimerman, Smendzianka) [400 Subs Special]

When i first heard Bacewicz's Sonata 2, my reaction was undescriptible, because it was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. This sonata is absolute fire, violence, aggressivity, brutality, and all the synonyms. The second movement is an exception, it has many parts which are absolutely calm and beautiful. Zimerman's rendition is just beyond excellence. Such a fire, such a violence, and the pianissimos, rare but really beautiful. I think this live is the go-to for this amazing Sonata. The second performance is by Regina Smendzianka, and it is really amazing too. Everything is here : the fire, the violence, the clarity, the emotion.
