Noni built a globe that lets learners travel through history. Both were made in Replit for the Designathon. In Episode 9, Nadia and Noni demo the apps they built for the Replit Designathon — a design-first building challenge that pushed both of them well outside their comfort zones. Nadia's entry is Listen Like Me, an interactive 3D classroom simulation that lets teachers experience a school day through the hearing of a student with hearing loss. The simulation includes real classroom sounds, adjustable hearing profiles, environmental controls (windows, doors, vents, rugs), visible sound wave visualizations, and a custom-built scene editor for placing 3D objects. Nadia is already using it with real teachers in her day job. Noni's entry is an immersive history experience built around an interactive 3D globe. Learners can spin the globe, select a civilization, choose a historical era from a scrolling carousel, and travel through time into that environment. Rome and Giza are already built. Timbuktu, Kyoto, Great Zimbabwe, and Machu Picchu are coming next. The bigger lesson: The best educational technology doesn't just tell people something — it makes them feel it. Multisensory experiences change what people remember.
