INDIE WEEK — DAY 2 Today we're setting sail in Pirate Twist, a top-down naval roguelite from solo developer BTG Labs. And this one came directly from the dev! @PirateTwistGame reached out to me on X and provided a key so we could jump in and check it out. You start with one ship, one captain and a chart full of bad options. From there we're fitting out our ship across 14 berths, choosing between cannons, armor, repairs and other modules, picking routes through three hostile seas, managing the wind and trying to survive real-time broadside combat. Different ammunition can tear apart sails, kill crew, start fires or punch into the hull — and positioning the ship for a proper broadside matters. This is a FIRST LOOK, so we're going in fresh and seeing what Pirate Twist has to offer. Can we build a monster of a ship and make it home richer? Or do we simply not come home at all?
