GORTOZ A RAN | Epic Cinematic Score | Black Hawk Down OST

Some songs do not need to be understood to be deeply felt. They speak through sorrow, silence, and the haunting beauty of a world torn apart by war. “Gortoz A Ran” , performed by Denez Prigent and Lisa Gerrard*, is a haunting musical piece featured in the soundtrack of *Black Hawk Down (2001), Ridley Scott’s intense war film depicting the Battle of Mogadishu. Blending the evocative sound of Breton vocal traditions with Lisa Gerrard’s ethereal voice, this composition creates an atmosphere of profound longing, despair, and haunting beauty. Its otherworldly vocals seem to echo across a desolate battlefield, capturing the loneliness of soldiers, the weight of sacrifice, and the unbearable distance between those who fight and those who wait. Beyond the chaos of battle, Gortoz A Ran reminds us of the human cost of war — the lives forever changed, the bonds forged under fire, and the hope that remains even when everything seems lost. 🎼 *ABOUT THIS MUSIC* Title: Gortoz A Ran Performers: Denez Prigent & Lisa Gerrard Featured in: Black Hawk Down (2001) Film Director: Ridley Scott Genre: Cinematic, World Music, Ethereal Vocal, War Soundtrack Welcome to *Serenade & Scores*, where unforgettable melodies, cinematic soundscapes, and timeless film music come together to evoke emotions beyond words.
