പുതുതലമുറ അറിഞ്ഞിരിക്കേണ്ട ആഘോഷങ്ങൾ - കണ്ണൂരിലെ വ്യത്യസ്തമായ പൂരാഘോഷം. ഐതിഹ്യവും ചടങ്ങുകളും സാമൂഹ്യപ്രസക്തിയും പൂരക്കളിയും, മറത്തുകളിയും തുടങ്ങി അറിഞ്ഞിരിക്കേണ്ട ഒരുപാടുകാര്യങ്ങളുമായി അനേഹ. Aneha has come with a video teaching us about the various traditions and celebrations followed during Pooram, celebrated during the malayalam month of Meena (March-April). Poorotsavam or Pooram is a unique festival of Kerala's North Malabar region during which young girls decorate their houses with particular flowers and create mud statues of Kamadeva (the Hindu God of Love) to seek his blessings to get a good husband while various Devi temples and other places of worship dotted across Kannur and Kasaragod districts will become the stage for special cultural events like poorakkali and marathukali.
