In this video we see Ex British Rail Railbus RB004 running at Lathalmond Railway Museum - Shed 47 Railway Restoration Group. RB004 was built by BREL in 1984 This unit was one of five single car Leyland Experimental Vehicles (LEV) that were built between 1978 & 1984. These units consist of a Leyland National Bus Body mounted on a freight wagon under frame and is powered by a TL11 engine. One of the 5 units RB3 operated with Northern Ireland Railways. Today 4 of the 5 units survive. LEV 1 is preserved at the National Railway Museum at Shildon. RB3 Is preserved at the Gwendraeth Valley Railway in Wales. It was previously owned by the Ulster Transport Museum & The Downpatrick & County Down Railway. RB002 Is currently stored in a poor condition on the site of Carlingford Brewing Company near Dundalk. RB004 Is now preserved at the Shed 47 Railway , Lathalmond.
