I Took My Car-Mad Daughter to the Nürburgring in a 20-Year-Old BMW

We actually did it… I took my 20-year-old BMW E64 630i Sport onto the Nürburgring Nordschleife! 🇩🇪🏁 THE GREEN HELL!! After collecting the BMW in the UK, Isabella and I crossed from Newcastle to Amsterdam and continued our huge road trip home to Spain. But there was one stop I absolutely HAD to make… THE NÜRBURGRING. 🏁 In this episode we arrive in Amsterdam, drive through the Netherlands and into Germany, experience some proper German road-trip food (and possibly pick up a speeding ticket 😬), before finally seeing that famous NÜRBURGRING sign. And then things escalate… The Nürburgring car park alone was incredible — Porsche 911 GT3 RSs, BMW M2s, M3s, M4s and some seriously special machinery everywhere you looked. I also randomly bumped into ‪@viking_detail‬ , who runs his own detailing business and will be familiar to plenty of you from his regular appearances on ‪@AutoalexCars‬ & ‪@TopDeadC‬ . Great to see him, wish i managed to ask if he was there for work or pleasure?! — definitely wasn't expecting that at the Nürburgring! And then somehow my 2006 BMW E64 630i Sport, powered by the naturally aspirated N52 straight-six, ended up joining all that machinery on track… 😬 🏁 One lap of the Nordschleife. 🚗 A 20-year-old BMW. 😬 A very nervous driver. 😂 Absolutely no idea where I was going. This wasn't about setting lap times or pretending to be a racing driver. I just wanted to experience one of the world's most iconic circuits in my own car. The 630i made it around without a single problem. I certainly wasn't the fastest thing out there — not even close 😂 — but I genuinely didn't care. Driving my own BMW around the Nürburgring has been a dream of mine for years. And getting to experience the entire day with Isabella made it even more special. ❤️ From leaving the UK, crossing Europe and finally putting the 630i onto the Nordschleife… this is one road trip I'll never forget.
