Before You Make Any Decision Today, Pray for God’s Wisdom | Morning Prayer

Not every decision that changes your life will look important when it arrives. Sometimes it appears as one hurried yes, one angry reply, one purchase made under pressure, or one promise you are afraid to refuse. Begin this day with a powerful morning prayer for God’s wisdom, guidance, and discernment before making any decision. Ask the Lord to expose hidden motives, quiet the pressure to act too quickly, and prevent fear, anger, loneliness, pride, or comparison from choosing on your behalf. Inspired by James 1:5 and the story of Israel’s decision in Joshua 9, this prayer reminds us that information is not the same as wisdom. The Israelites examined the evidence before them but did not ask God what might be hidden behind it. Bring every decision before the Lord—your words, relationships, work, finances, family responsibilities, boundaries, and future plans. Before asking God to bless what you have already chosen, invite His wisdom into the choice itself.
