26 Sep || PRAC Spokesperson Tana Tamar Calls for Health Minister’s Resignation Over Unresolved Health Issues
Public Rights Action Committee (PRAC) spokesperson Tana Tamar has questioned the functioning of the Health Department and called for accountability over the health-related issues raised by the committee.
Speaking at the PRAC meeting on September 26, 2026, at DK Convention Hall, Tamar said that if the Health Minister is unable to address the issues and fulfil the public’s demands, the minister should resign from the post.
The statement came while the committee highlighted five key demands, including a fully functional Drug Testing Laboratory, direct procurement of medicines, increased ambulance and hearse services, 24×7 government pharmacy services, and action against illegal pharmacies.
Arunachal Pradesh’s Health & Family Welfare Department currently lists Biyuram Wahge as the state’s Health Minister.
