Our today's guest Sneha grew up without knowing she was adopted. She found out at twenty three, and everything she believed about herself broke that day. She went to Madurai looking for her biological mother, stood at the Meenakshi Amman temple, felt her presence in that room, and was told by Ma to walk away without the answer.
In this conversation she talks about what filled that gap. She speaks about the Divine Mother as a mother rather than a goddess, about the difference between praying to someone and playing with them. She describes the day she picked up her father's bones and felt a hug that held her up. She talks about dreams that arrive as warnings, about chanting the Lalita Sahasranama until her body shook, and about asking Krishna at Vrindavan to end a karmic relationship that ended within a day.
We also spend time on Shakti tattva and what it actually asks of a person. Safety before power. Truthfulness before practice. No self abandonment, whatever the price. She is direct about the version of Shakti that circulates online, where putting the masculine down passes for strength, and where that idea comes from.
