The Goonies II (Explorer Edition) Part 4: The Underwater

Good Day This is the continuation of my "The Goonies II (Explorer Edition). Titled "The Goonies II (Explorer Edition) Part 4: The Underwater". Part 3:    • The Goonies II (Explorer Edition) Part 3: ...   Notes: In the cutscenes, I colored the areas already explored with brown. When the character arrives in a new area, I indicate his presence with a red (or green depends on the area's color), circle in the map's tile. Gameplay: Returning to Freezer A: Mikey has already rescued three goonies, now that he has the DIVING SUIT he can return to that waterhole in "Freezer A". It's scuba diving time. To return, he must traverse through the purple cavern, bridge, the orange cave 2, and the red cavern again and then to the "freezer A". The Underwater: In the waterhole room, use your diving suit, and you're taken to the watery depths of the fratelli hideout, "The Underwater". This water world is composed of the gray back underwater A, and the yellow-green front underwater A. The diving suit provides you with a harpoon as primary weapon. You can't use other weapons, and your only secondary weapon are bombs. Your enemies here are Sharks, Piranhas, Crabs, Octopi, Jellyfish and Lobster. Fishmen are here to aid you instead of konamiman. Back Underwater A: Mikey starts at the top-left side of the gray-themed "Back Underwater A". Sharks are relentless here, they come back and forth to eat Mikey. They cost a bar if they open their mouth on Mikey, and half if collided. Other enemies are octopi, crabs, piranhas, and the invincible jellyfish. A secret door is between two pillars of rock at the start, blast it with a bomb. Go inside, and a fishman will give you a 1-up. Go right, to the leftmost door, watch out for rocks and spawning creatures along the way, and get away from the sharks path. Enter the door, press left, then take the 4th MAGIC LOCATOR DEVICE. Use your Diving suit again, and you are taken to the "Front Underwater A". Front Underwater A: This yellow-green themed underwater is the bigger of the two underwater with 11 square tiles in the map. The lobster is only found here. After arriving, a pump connector is nearby, go down there. Travel left, you'll face piranhas, crabs, and octopi along the way. You'll see a door, enter it, on the left room is a Fishman who will give you a "Jump Shoes". Now return to the starting point on the first door, then go right, we'll explore the entirety of this area. The other door on the right contains a safe. There two more levels of underwater down a pump connector, on the next section contains nothing but rocks on the left part, on the next section is the bottomless portion of the water below. A scenery can be seen when going sticking to the rightmost wall. We can see a door of the "Front Underwater B" but we can't go there right now. We finished exploring all of Front Underwater A. Back Underwater A: Go back to the "Back Underwater B", Using the map let us know the location of the fourth goonie, he's in the bottom left part of the area. After entering the door, punch the back wall to reveal the fourth and final essential item, the LADDER. Press left, then punch the back wall, to reveal the third bomb box. Press right twice, then hammer the ceiling, a hole will reveal, use the ladder, and rescue the goonie. Go to the rightmost door again, punch backwall of the initial room, to get the final key holder, you can now carry a max of 8 keys. We finish the diving session for now, return to Freezer A.
