Historic Badiana, Sialkot – Before Partition 1947 🇵🇰
According to local elders, Badiana, located in Tehsil Pasrur, District Sialkot, Punjab, was once an important center of the Sikh community before the Partition of Punjab in 1947.
Local oral history recalls that a large camp consisting of 33 kullas was established at the site where the livestock market stands today. Sikh families from Feroz Ke Nagra, Kotli Baba Faqir, Sarangi, and other villages of the Sialkot region gathered there before migrating to India, leaving behind their ancestral homeland in Pakistan.
According to local traditions, Baba Lakshman Sahib and his family also migrated from Badiana towards Amritsar.
Today, Badiana is home to Malhi, Gujjar, Qureshi, and other communities living together with love, respect, and brotherhood.
