Get started with PerfChecker.jl: install the VS Code extension, prepare your Julia environment, and compare performance across package versions. In this first tutorial, we measure a small Bibliography.jl export with BenchmarkTools, inspect the results, then discover and measure an existing TestItem directly in VS Code. You’ll learn how to: • Set up the extension and a dedicated controller project. • Separate preparation from the operation being measured. • Compare two released versions and interpret timings and allocations. • Save and reopen collected observations. • Measure existing TestItems and read their correctness and performance status. CHAPTERS 00:00 Choose a small performance question 00:45 Install VS Code support and the Julia controller 02:15 Define the measured operation 03:23 Run the first comparison 03:53 Read values, units and normalized curves 05:16 Save and reopen the results 06:11 Start from an existing TestItem 06:56 Discover tests without running them 07:59 Understand the measurement boundary 09:00 Run one item and inspect its status 09:52 Tags, saved evidence and next steps WATCH THE INTRODUCTION    • PerfChecker.jl — Benchmark, Profile & Comp...   DOCUMENTATION & DOWNLOADS First comparison: https://perfchecker.mirageinteractive...
