ARIVE AND SHINE

The prophet Isaiah addresses Zion (Jerusalem) and God people after a time of heavy struggle, exile, and darkness. He told them to Arise and shine. This is a call to stand up, shake off despair, and let God presence be seen. It is the origin of the familiar phrase (rise and shine). The Reason Given for this command to shine comes after the statement that the light has already arrived. The people do not have to generate their own light, God glory ( the glory of the Lord ) is already dawning over them. In biblical terms,it represents hope and restoration for Israel, points forward to the coming of the Messiah (Jesus Christ), and encourages believers to act as a light to a troubled world. We the born again are light to this trouble world. HALELUYAAAAAH!! Shot,i am the light of the world.
