"He bowed to no sultan, no earthly throne — said, if I bow, I bow to God alone."

]Mansa Musa (Official Lyric Video) is music tribute to the greatest emperor Africa ever produced — told in both English and Arabic, the languages of his world.
Before Mansa Musa, there was Abu Bakr the Second — who sailed west into the Atlantic and never returned. What قدر (fate) wrote next changed history forever.
مانسا موسى (Mansa Musa) inherited the Mali throne and built an empire on salt, gold, and unshakeable faith.
In 1324, he set out on his Hajj with 80 camels bent beneath the weight of gold dust — and gave it all away. Cairo's gold market crashed for 12 years. In Mecca, he stood where بلال once stood.
He returned with scholars, architects, and al-Sahili — and built Timbuktu into a beacon of knowledge that Africa still remembers. This is not just history.
This is our inheritance.🎵 Genre: Soul · R&B · World Music

Lyrics:
أبو بكر the Second sailed west and never came back home,
Left the throne of Mali standing all alone,
But قدر had already written what would be,
مانسا موسى rose and carried Mali's legacy.
CHORUS
مانسا موسى, the gold still shines,
مانسا موسى, across the sands of time,
From Mali to Mecca, Africa stood tall,
مانسا موسى — greatest of them all.
VERSE 2
From the heart of West Africa to the desert gold,
A king arose whose story must be told,
مانسا موسى, emperor of Mali's throne,
The richest man the world has ever known.
He built his empire on the salt and gold,
On trade routes where the merchants bought and sold,
But all his wealth meant nothing to his soul,
Until he answered God's sacred call.
CHORUS
مانسا موسى, the gold still shines,
مانسا موسى, across the sands of time,
From Mali to Mecca, Africa stood tall,
مانسا موسى — greatest of them all.
VERSE 3
The golden caravan set out at dawn,
Across the Sahara, stretching on and on,
Eighty camels bent beneath the gold dust weight,
A king who gave it all away at every gate.
In Cairo's streets he flooded gold so free,
The market crashed for twelve years — history,
He bowed to no sultan, no earthly throne,
Said — if I bow, I bow to God alone.
CHORUS
مانسا موسى, the gold still shines,
مانسا موسى, across the sands of time,
From Mali to Mecca, Africa stood tall,
He reached the Kaaba where بلال once stood,
And completed what every faithful Muslim should,
Five pillars kept — the Hajj now done,
An African emperor under the same sun.
He brought back scholars, architects, and men of thought,
Transformed Timbuktu with everything the Hajj had taught,
Built his grand mosque with al-Sahili's hand,
And lit the torch of knowledge across the land.
CHORUS
مانسا موسى, the gold still shines,
مانسا موسى, across the sands of time,
From Mali to Mecca, Africa stood tall,
The gold still flows...
Timbuktu remembers...
Africa knows...
