Exploring the Union Canal from Linlithgow to the Falkirk Wheel

We took a canal boat cruise from the Linlithgow Canal Centre to the Falkirk Wheel, hosted by the Linlithgow Union Canal Society. From the Canal Centre, you can get shorter cruises and afternoon tea cruises too. The boat travelled down the Union Canal to the engineering marvel that is the Falkirk Wheel where a coach takes you back to the centre. You are given information about the trip and things you will do like travel the Avon Aqueduct and go through the Falkirk Wheel Top Locks and Falkirk Tunnel. We saw swans and ducks as well as cows near the canal and the pathway beside the canal is busy with walkers, joggers and dog walkers. The scenery is stunning and the trip includes aqueducts, tunnels, locks, going under bridges and a ride on the Falkirk Wheel.
