GOLD ON THE TABLE | Adventurers' Banquet Dwarven Drinking Song (Lyrics Video)

Three days in the dark. One very large monster. And now — the reward. A dwarf hoists the coin sack high and tips a waterfall of gold onto the guild hall table, while the whole hall leans in to cheer. GOLD ON THE TABLE is the fourth song of ADVENTURERS' BANQUET — a saga from THE GRAND BANQUET, where every theme takes you to a different world's feast. Late-afternoon sunlight through tall guild windows. A bagpipe blasting a victory tune. A warrior with his arm in a sling raising his cup like a king, a halfling knee-deep in coins with suspiciously heavy pockets, and an elf who says gold is for fools — right before one bright coin disappears up her sleeve. It took a month to earn it all. We'll spend it in a night. 🍻 THE GRAND BANQUET — Different worlds, same table, raise a glass. ────────────────── LYRICS ────────────────── Three days in the dark with a beast at our backs We climbed up the stairs with the dust on our packs The clerk took one look and she dropped her quill Then she counted our pay, and she's counting still So I hoisted the sack up as high as I could And I tipped it all out on the old oaken wood Gold on the table! (Gold!) Gold on the table! (Gold!) Hear it jingle, watch it shine! Every coin's another round And every round is yours and mine! Gold on the table! (Gold!) Gold on the table! (Gold!) Fill the cups and raise 'em high! It took a month to earn it all And we'll spend it in a night! The tall lad's got one of his arms in a sling But he's lifting his cup like he's just been made king The little one's knee-deep in the pile of gold And his pockets are heavier than they can hold The lady says gold is for fools and for thieves Then she tucks one bright coin up inside of her sleeve Gold on the table! Listen... it isn't the gold, my friends It's the faces I see here Five of us went into the dark And five came back to share this cheer So here's to the fiddler who plays like a storm And here's to the ale that keeps all of us warm Here's to the monster we sent off to sleep And here's to the gold that we won't even keep! Gold on the table! (Gold!) Gold on the table! (Gold!) Hear it jingle, watch it shine! Every coin's another round And every round is yours and mine! Gold on the table! (Gold!) Gold on the table! (Gold!) Fill the cups and raise 'em high! It took a month to earn it all And we'll spend it in a night! Gold on the table! (Gold!) Gold on the table! (Gold!) Fill the cups and raise 'em high! It took a month to earn it all And we'll spend it in a night! Gold on the table... Hey! Who took the last one?! #dwarvendrinkingsong #tavernmusic #fantasymusic #aimusic #adventurersbanquet
