Kayaking on Danube River From Giurgiu to Gostinu

Kayaking for 20 Km down the Danube River, from Giurgiu to Gostinu on a cold and foggy December day. After leaving from Bucharest, we first left one car at the end location then headed to the launch point in Giurgiu. We were very pleased to see and be overflown by several pelicans who probably stayed here for the winter. The ride was short and we decided to have an extended break and a picnic on a isle very close to the disembarking point which we reached at sunset.
