In this video, I start building a USB-C Power Breakout Board in KiCad from scratch. This is Part 1 of 2, where we focus on creating the schematic and setting up the foundation for the PCB design. 🔧 In Part 1: • Creating the USB-C power input • Designing the power circuit • Adding components and footprints • Connecting the schematic • Understanding PCB nets • Preparing the design for PCB layout In Part 2, we'll take the completed schematic into the PCB Editor, place the components, route the board, and work toward the finished PCB. This project is part of my journey learning KiCad, PCB design, electronics, and hardware engineering—starting with simple boards and gradually working toward much more advanced designs.
