E.59 Fractured Fables - The Puzzle Palace

Previously on Fractured Fables - The party discovered that magic inside the Bastion comes with a high risk and very little reward, thanks to a nasty psychic backlash. Moving outside into a courtyard filled with mysterious statues, they decided that investigating was apparently less important than having a conversation and were promptly attacked by a new and decidedly more aggressive version of animated armor. During the fight, Everett tested out her new dagger, only to discover that the weapon has opinions about how it should be used. Deeming Everett’s technique improper, the dagger sprouted tiny weenie-dog legs and ran away, judging her the entire time. Thankfully, it eventually returned to help finish the fight. Meanwhile, Siddy finally snapped. Her usually calm demeanor disappeared as she raged her way through an animated suit of armor, beating it into a pile of magical scrap. With the courtyard quiet once more, the party finds themselves deeper inside the seemingly abandoned Bastion. Will they make it through in one piece? Will anyone figure out what exactly is going on with the silver chain now wrapped around Charlie’s wrist? And, most importantly… Will Charlie please stop picking up mysterious objects she has absolutely no idea what they are?
