Disused & Forgotten Steam Railway Tunnel Section - Isle Of Wight

Tucked away out of most peoples way, This small tunnel with one end now blocked up looks to have been visited by people with differing religious views. It's little arches and offshoots make it more interesting than it otherwise might be. In 1895 a local 26 year old man tragically lost his life at this location, he was "dreadfully crushed and mangled", and died within minutes after slipping from the buffers on which he was standing....
