PhD Pe Charcha | Episode 2 | Marginalisation in Health

The podcast “PhD Pe Charcha” is an initiative of the Digital Communication Team of the Alumni Association of CSMCH, JNU, to curate a dialogue on approaches to research areas, methodology, fieldwork, researchers’ subjectivity, power relations in research, and writing. The idea was built around the belief that every PhD has a story worth sharing and that completed theses cannot be limited to university libraries and archives. The dialogue around them needs to be understood as a way of doing research. In this episode, we explore marginalisation in health through the experiences of adolescents living on the streets and in other socially vulnerable settings in Delhi. Dr. Ajit Kumar discussed his PhD thesis titled “A Study of Health Issues and Practices of the Male Adolescent on Delhi’s Street.” He submitted his thesis under the supervision of Prof. Ramila Bisht. The episode was hosted by Dr. Asrarul Haque Jeelani, who was joined by Dr. Nitu Singh to introduce the Alumni Association of CSMCH, JNU.
