In Analouge multimeter a moving pointer on a reading scale but in digital instrument reading are shown on a numeric display. Multimeter was invented by Donald Macadie in after 1920s and he was from USA. In Constructional aspect I divided Digital multimeter into three interface areas like display area, selection area (selector switch) and connecting area in which probs are connected.
