Get Access to the Full Length Reaction:   / themediaknights   Resident Evil is a 2026 horror film directed by Zach Cregger and written by Cregger and Shay Hatten. It's based on the video game franchise of the same name by Capcom. Austin Abrams stars as Bryan Hodukavich, a medical courier who must fight through an outbreak of infected monsters in Raccoon City. Resident Evil (2026) follows Bryan, a medical courier who accepts one last delivery on a snowy night. The job promises extra pay for transporting an urgent package to Raccoon City General Hospital, but his journey takes a terrifying turn when he encounters a severely injured woman on the road. What initially appears to be an isolated emergency becomes a desperate fight for survival. A dangerous infection is turning people and animals into grotesque creatures, leaving Bryan stranded and completely out of his depth. Moving through remote buildings and increasingly dangerous streets, he has to improvise his way through each encounter while trying to reach the hospital. As Bryan gets closer to his destination, he discovers that the package he’s carrying is connected to the Umbrella Corporation and could be crucial to stopping the outbreak. Completing the delivery becomes far more important than he ever imagined, but reaching the people waiting for it means pushing deeper into the nightmare.
