Van De Graaff vs Rubber Electrical Gloves

In this video I test out some electrical gloves to see what happens when put against my van de graaff generator. I found that not only do they let static shocks through as predicted, but also hold a charge like a capacitor and can release a more powerful shock than the generator itself. I've willingly been shocked by this device 100's of times without any immediate or harsh pain, but the gloves can actually make it worse.
