KK's Most Expensive MYR 5.2 B Megaproject, Jesselton Waterfront City: Jesselton Docklands + Jes Quay

This 4K drone footage documents the Jesselton Waterfront City (JWC) megaproject, Kota Kinabalu’s most expensive and most ambitious megaproject, at an estimated cost of MYR 5.2 billion (≈USD 1.27 B), integrating two waterfront megaprojects: the ≈RM1 billion Jesselton Quay (GDV RM1.8 B), and the recently initiated ≈RM4.2 billion Jesselton Docklands, into a single waterfront unified masterplan. Located along KK's historic seafront, this mega development involves large-scale land reclamation, mixed-use construction, and the expansion of the city’s waterfront edge. The footage shows current on-site progress, highlighting the scale & layout of both projects as they stand today. Jesselton Quay forms the first completed phase, with the first of its two phases completed, JQ Central, while Jesselton Docklands recently initiated its first of four phases, The Bedrock.
